To the parents of Eisenhower Lacrosse participants,

I want to give an overview to the many people who were not able to attend the “Parents and Players Information” night meeting held on Wednesday night.  Our attendance was low this year and it may have been due to the number of other sports-related activity meetings.  Attendance for all players and parents is important at all lacrosse club meetings; these meetings are an important part of the team building and information sharing part of the program.  There was a lot of very good information presented by members of the Lacrosse Board and our Varsity Coach, Mark Fortune.  Please see the attached PowerPoint presentation that was reviewed during the "Parent / Player Information" meeting.  Below is a recap of the topics discussed;

Winter conditioning will begin when players return to school after the Christmas break, details to follow on timing, continue to check the www.Ikelacrosse.com website.

Interest in open board positions must be sent to a board member by January 16th.

January 25th is the player registration meeting.  This meeting is mandatory for all players and parents.

March 12th official practice begins behind Ike, 4:30pm.

Parent volunteers who support the team activities enable the coaches to focus on the game and the players.  The need for a variety of volunteers at all games was emphasized at the meeting.  The www.Ikelacrosse.com website has a volunteer sign-up page.  When the schedule is released, please review the positions listed and volunteer for a couple of different roles.  Your support is needed and appreciated.  Volunteering is a great way to meet other player’s parents and provide much needed support to the team.

There will be three open board positions this year; General Manager, Events Coordinator and Apparel Sales.  Please contact a board member if you are interested in learning more about these roles and becoming an Ike Board member.  If multiple candidates are identified for the open positions, by January 16th, ballots will be created for voting at the mandatory January 25th meeting.

The Ike Booster club president, Mike Swiatkowski, presented the great benefits of the Ike Booster club.  Lacrosse had the highest percentage of members last year, our goal is always 100% membership, and forms are on-line or call a board member for details.  The Booster Club sponsors a great springtime auction and party, be a part of the club and attend a great event for the support of Ike sports.  www.ikeboosterclub.org

The next meeting is January 25th, attendance is mandatory to sign your son up for the team.  All forms will be needed at that point to ensure a complete registration for all players.  All of the forms are available on the www.Ikelacrosse.com website.  Please visit the website weekly to view any changes and updates for the season.  Attendance at all lax functions is appreciated.  Your participation in lacrosse activities supports the team and strengthens the Eisenhower name

Thanks and Go Ike!!!!!!
